Greater Dayton Surgery Center Earns IRIS Seal of Recognition for Excellence in Air Quality

The International Respiratory Infections Society (IRIS) and Aerobiotix are pleased to announce that Greater Dayton Surgery Center has been awarded the IRIS Healthcare Air Quality Seal of Recognition. This distinction highlights the facility’s commitment to maintaining exceptional air quality in surgical environments, supporting the safety of patients, physicians, and clinical staff.
Greater Dayton Surgery Center earned this recognition through a detailed evaluation process, including on-site assessments conducted by infection prevention experts. The IRIS Seal represents the center’s use of advanced air purification technology to reduce airborne contaminants, reinforcing its focus on surgical safety and clinical excellence.
Established in 2006 as a multi-physician, multi-disciplinary outpatient facility, Greater Dayton Surgery Center has since refined its focus exclusively to orthopaedics. By dedicating its staff and facility to orthopaedics, the center provides greater efficiency, improved quality of care, highly skilled personnel, and lower rates of complications compared to general operating settings. Part of the Kettering Health System and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) with Advanced Orthopaedic Certification, the center is distinguished for its excellence in outpatient joint replacement and spine surgery—the only ASC in the Greater Dayton area to offer both.
Patients benefit from the experience of board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons who are leaders in their fields, often serving in professional medical associations nationwide. Services include arthroscopy, sports medicine, joint replacements, pain management, and advanced outpatient spine procedures.
