Testing of HUAIRS in Arthroplasty Procedures

The study tested the Illuvia 500UV on airborne bacterial levels during arthroplasty. Mold and bacteria were measured and a mean reduction of bacterial colony forming units (CFU) occurred by 57% with the HUAIRS in the theatre. Conducted at the University of New South Wales, NSW, Australia.

Clinical and Lab Analysis of Crystalline Ultraviolet-C (C-UVC)

There is increased interest in considering innovative adjunctive technologies to support best air quality in ORs. Hospital acquired infections (HAI) are the number four cause of death in the United States at an annual cost estimated at $40 billion. This study was designed to test the effectiveness of the germicidal irradiation by Aerobiotix’s C-UVC novel technology.
