“Our facility utilizes two Illuvia Sense air filtration systems in our operating rooms. The availability of measuring air particulates and air quality assists in monitoring traffic control in our OR rooms. Our orthopedic surgeons are advocates of the Illuvia Sense. We watch our infection rates through Governance, and I am very proud to say that we saw a reduction in them. Our rates were not very high to begin with but we did see a decrease using the Illuvia. What is significant is we have little to no total joint infections. Our findings, as of current, are not due to anything other than comorbidities.

We have utilized the data that is provided to staff to educate the importance of minimizing door swings and maintaining good hand hygiene and Sterile Technique before and during our cases.

“Having the Aerobiotix in the OR Suites is a staff & physician satisfier. They are comfortable knowing the machines are in the room to make the OR safer from harmful VOCs and reduce SSIs. When we started doing PIPAC procedures (Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy), Aerobiotix teamed up with us to ensure everyone in the room was safe. The machine is easy to operate and maneuver and runs so quietly that it’s almost undetectable in the room. The real-time intraoperative environmental data the Illuvia collects has been eye opening to our staff and surgeons. We review this data as a team and take notes. We are able to see the amount of door openings from pressure changes in the room and detect a high number of people within the OR by the C02 levels the machine collects.
